Stop 23: The Campbell Coast Aerodrome in Erazor on the continent of Corsica

Once again, intrepid adventurers, we embark on another stop in the search for BBB Passport Stamps!  This installment takes us to the continent of Corsica in Second Life Mainland, and, once again, to the vibrant Scottish coastal area that is The Campbell Coast.  It also happens to be home to the recently refurbished Campbell Coast Aerodrome, so all you flyers out there, you have a new public airport destination!

The BBB also happens to have an unofficial presence here, as it was here, at the previously private Campbell Airfield, that yours truly happened to house my DC-10, which was used, and will continue to be used for BBB Airport explorations in the vicinity.  I couldn't be happier that the gang at Campbell Coast have made the choice to make this a public destination, inviting pilots from across the grid to sample all that makes Campbell Coast GREAT!

Just recently, the fate of Campbell Coast was uncertain as the previous owner, Bjoyful, needed to step down from her position.  However, as recently as August 4th, 2021, at a town hall in the artists area, the entire community of Campbell Coast came out to meet the new owner, Winning Witte, and were reassured that not only would the design elements of Campbell Coast remain intact, but that the plans were for a bright future of expansion and retention!
I managed to snap a photo of an AFK Winning Witte as he was up at the aerodrome ;) The Aerodrome is a full service public airport with the ICAO letters SLEA (Second Life Erazor Aerodrome) and has an East/West dirt runway at an altitude of 147 meters.  There are numerous rental opportunities with tiedown and hangar availability, so if you're a pilot looking for a new home, SLEA might just be your spot!

There are many amenities available at the Aerodrome as well, including a small social area, and direct access to the lower levels of The Campbell Coast, be means of paved road or the quaint cable tram system.  Stop for a bit, get yourself a beverage, and peer out over the glorious Campbell Coast coastline.  The Aerodrome also includes a rezz area for those interested in a brief stop and go.

For freight RP-ers who utilize Get The Freight Out (GTFO) there are ample opportunities available at The Aerodrome as well.  You can use the airport as well as the paved road leading up from the main Corsica highway for Air and Ground Freight!  The Aerodrome wouldn't be complete without an impeccably designed terminal and office building, which you'll find near the rezz area, and the paved road going down.

Inside, Boo Rojyo, the Aerodrome Manager, has maintained the designs of Campbell Coast's resident landscaper and designer, Kitten Mills, while providing a retro feel to the building, which will turn even the most sedentary visitor into a excited virtual world explorer!  Speaking of exploring!  For those who have the BBB Passport Stamps, you'll find the dispenser inside the terminal building.
